About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced
Director of Med Surg
to lead our team in Fredericksburg, VA. This full-time role requires a dedicated leader to oversee the Med Surg department, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. The Director will manage multiple sites and/or functional areas, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
Cultivate a superior clinical identity by implementing evidence-based practices. Collaborate with administrative teams and physicians to enhance services or develop new offerings.
Patient Care Oversight:
Ensure adherence to standards of care, manage clinical practice variations, and lead efforts to improve patient safety, quality outcomes, and patient satisfaction.
Team Development:
Foster a culture that inspires commitment to the organization's vision and values. Implement strategies to elevate employee engagement and recognition.
Budget Management:
Participate in the annual budget process, monitor department performance, and address any gaps to ensure financial efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience:
3+ years of Director-level experience in an acute care setting, Med Surg preferred. Will consider a Nurse Manager with at least 5 years of experience in Med Surg in an acute care setting.
Licensure:
Current RN License or active compact license required.
