We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Director to join our team and help us achieve our vision.

Position Summary:

The Assistant Director will support the Director in the day-to-day operations of the childcare facility. This role involves overseeing staff, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, and contributing to the development of a high-quality educational program. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with excellent organizational and communication skills, a commitment to early childhood education, and a passion for fostering a positive and engaging environment for children and staff. Additionally, the Assistant Director will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date facility documents, including records related to children, staff, and operational compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Director in managing daily operations and ensuring a smooth and efficient running of the facility.

Supervise, mentor, and support teaching staff and other team members.

Implement and monitor educational programs to ensure they meet the developmental needs of children.

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.

Handle parent communications, address concerns, and build positive relationships with families.

Support the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance program quality and efficiency.

Manage enrollment processes and maintain accurate records related to children, staff, and facility operations.

Contribute to the planning and execution of facility events and activities.

Qualifications:

Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred; relevant experience in early childhood education will also be considered.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.

Experience with the Child and Adult Food Program (CACFP), childcare licensing requirements, and Southern Nevada Health Department regulations required.

Familiarity with Quality Rating and Improvement Systems (QRIS) preferred.

Strong knowledge of early childhood development, curriculum planning, and regulatory requirements.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and community partners.

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Proficient in using office software and managing administrative tasks.
