As a MuleSoft Integration Architect at Optum, you will work hands on with our customers and partners to solve mission-critical business challenges using MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform. You will provide onsite technical guidance on MuleSoft implementation projects, evaluate the customer’s technical and functional requirements, and develop cost-effective solutions to provide customers with demonstrable returns. As a subject-matter expert in the field, you will develop solutions to help customers realize their business goals and advise them on best practices for on-premise, cloud, and hybrid integration, and API management.

Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop integration solutions to meet the requirements using components of the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Design Center, Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Data Weave, Message Queue, and assets from the Anypoint Exchange.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design scalable, efficient, and secure integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.Develop, configure, and deploy MuleSoft integration applications and APIs.Provide technical guidance and leadership to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.Identify performance bottlenecks, conduct performance testing, and optimize integration solutions.Implement security measures and best practices to protect sensitive data.Work closely with business analysts, solution architects, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and document technical specifications.Assist in troubleshooting production issues and provide ongoing support for MuleSoft integration solutions.Stay up to date with MuleSoft product updates and continuously evaluate improvements to existing integration processes.Provide guidance and drive creation of standards and reusable assets.Assist on technical POC’s to prove out technology.Convey complex and technical issues to diverse audiences in an easily understood manner.Collaborate with enterprise architects and IT program managers to enhance existing business applications.Assist in architecting technical solutions for enterprise systems using the MuleSoft product suite.

Required QualificationsMuleSoft Certified Developer - Integration and API Associate.MuleSoft Certified Developer - Integration Professional.MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect.MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect.Masters Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other technical discipline is required.10+ years of experience as Platform Architect or in a relevant role.5+ years of hands-on development experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.Strong experience in designing and implementing integration solutions.High proficiency in creating Architecture Diagrams.Proficient in MuleSoft tools and technologies.3+ years of experience managing teams.In-depth understanding of integration patterns and API design principles.Knowledge of RESTful and SOAP-based services.

Preferred QualificationsBA/BS degree is a plus.4+ years as an Integration Architect working on enterprise-scale solutions.Strong programming skills in Java.In-depth experience using Agile and Scrum development practices.Federal Government and Healthcare experience is desirable.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Effective communication and collaboration skills.Must be eligible to work in the United States.

California, Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Washington, or Washington D.C Residents Only: The hourly range for residents is $104,700 to $190,400 per year. Pay is based on several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
