Position Summary

is seeking a passionate and experienced
Clinical Director
to lead and develop our ASAM 3.1 substance abuse residential treatment program. This is a unique opportunity to build a program, with a focus on creating a supportive and effective recovery environment. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care to individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. The
Clinical Director
will oversee clinical staff, develop and implement treatment protocols, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
Provide clinical leadership and direction for the treatment center, ensuring that clinical services meet the highest standards of care.
Recruit, train, and supervise clinical staff, ensuring alignment with the program’s goals and vision.
Supervise, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, including counselors and support staff.
Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes staff development and retention.
Design and implement evidence-based treatment programs tailored to individual client needs.
Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
Clinical Oversight
Oversee the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for all clients, ensuring individualized and holistic care.
Ensure the use of evidence-based treatment modalities and the integration of therapeutic approaches tailored to clients' needs.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical programs and interventions, making data-driven decisions to enhance service delivery.
Maintain a client-centered approach, ensuring that all services are respectful, culturally competent, and trauma-informed.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
Ensure compliance with all applicable Maryland federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
Oversee the implementation and adherence to ASAM criteria for Level 3.1 services.
Conduct regular audits and reviews of clinical documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Develop and maintain quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes and client satisfaction.
Training and Development
Identify training needs and coordinate ongoing professional development opportunities for clinical staff.
Provide direct training and supervision to clinical staff on best practices, ethical standards, and new treatment modalities.
Stay current with advancements in the field of addiction treatment and disseminate relevant information to the team.
Operational Management
Collaborate with the Executive Director and other leadership team members to develop and manage the clinical budget.
Participate in strategic planning and program development initiatives.
Oversee the intake and admissions process, ensuring timely and efficient client onboarding.
Manage clinical data and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Master's or Doctorate degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
Licensed as a Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in substance use disorder treatment, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
Extensive knowledge of ASAM criteria and experience with Level 3.1 residential services.
Skills and Abilities
Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Excellent clinical skills, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
Proficient in evidence-based treatment modalities for substance use and co-occurring disorders.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
