Experience in a Biotech/Bioscience client or firm will be an added advantage. The ideal candidate should have a track record of effectively designing, managing, commissioning, and completing intricate IT infrastructure projects.As a Network Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in

designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing network infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and security . You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the organization's networking needs, troubleshoot issues, and propose innovative solutions to enhance our network performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in networking concepts, hands-on experience with network technologies, and a proactive mindset to stay updated with emerging trends in the field.The primary job duties to be performed at the onsite location, although you may need to work across different sites, depending on the size of the organization and its network.Job Responsibilities:Establish secure connectivity between sites by designing, deploying, and maintaining network infrastructure, which includes routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other associated network devices/components.Configure and optimize network devices to meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues including latency, packet loss, and bandwidth constraints, to ensure optimal uptime and performance.Implement and enforce network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.Implement detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and access control lists (ACLs).Implement quality of service (QoS) policies to prioritize network traffic and ensure optimal performance for critical applications.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network requirements for new projects, applications, and initiatives.Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and procedures for reference and training purposes.Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in networking.Provide timely resolution to network-related incidents and emergencies.Diagnose and troubleshoot network connectivity issues, performance problems, and security vulnerabilities.Document network configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and resolution steps for future reference.Skillset/Experience Required:Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, JNCIA, or equivalent.In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, MPLS and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).Hands-on experience with network equipment from leading vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, etc.Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds).Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex network issues.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Experience with cloud networking technologies (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Network) is a plus.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
