who will have overall accountability for the availability of technology systems, with a primary focus on incident management and driving technical teams to recover services during periods of service disruption to key applications and technology platforms. This role requires exceptional communication skills, a strong ability to influence outside their direct span of control across the technology organization, and an in-depth understanding of how capabilities and technology interrelate across the enterprise. your responsibilities will include:Overall accountability for the availability of technology systems, leading problem, event, and incident management for the enterpriseOverall accountability for technology systems disaster recovery planning, testing, and continuous improvement, ensuring the organization is prepared for successful recovery of a significant eventOverall accountability for the change management process and associated activities, ensuring proper testing and risk managementServing as the Product Owner for the IT Service Management and Operations platform (ServiceNow), IT observability framework, and associated processes; creating roadmaps and prioritizing the backlog reflecting enterprise-wide priorities; providing execution leadership to ensure successful delivery of roadmapInfluencing technology currency roadmaps to reduce risk and drive increased systems availability; leveraging data-driven decision-making and trend analysisIndirect leadership of management, technicians, and contractors during events, incidents, root cause analysis & corrective action plan creation and disaster recovery/business continuity activities across the enterprise, including applications, infrastructure, data, and cyber security organizations.Direct leadership of 5-10 onshore/offshore contractors under a managed services agreementThe Dir, ITSM & Availability Management position
