We are seeking a dedicated

Disaster Recovery and Contingency Specialist

to implement and maintain service continuity management processes in alignment with the ITIL framework. The successful candidate will ensure that all business systems are equipped with effective Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs), and that these plans are rigorously followed and regularly updated.Day to Day Work Responsibilities:Develop, maintain, and test Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs) for all critical business systems.Ensure that service continuity management practices are aligned with ITIL best practices.Coordinate with various departments to ensure all systems and processes have robust contingency plans.Conduct regular audits and tests of BCPs and DRPs to ensure their effectiveness and adherence to protocols.Provide training and guidance to staff on disaster recovery and business continuity procedures.Collaborate with stakeholders to assess risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential disruptions.Provide incident response and ensure rapid recovery and continuity of business operations during and after disruptions.Monitor industry trends and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and best practices in disaster recovery and continuity planning.Prepare reports and documentation on continuity planning activities, including risk assessments, plan updates, and test results.#USCGIMSQualifications

Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience or Associate's degree and 7 years' experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.U.S. Citizenship required; must have a minimum of a Secret clearance (or higher).Understanding of service continuity management within the ITIL framework.Experience in developing and maintaining Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs).Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.Preferred Qualifications:ITIL certification or equivalent experience in service continuity management.Experience in a similar role within an IT or business environment.Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to disaster recovery and business continuity.Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess risks and develop mitigation strategies.Peraton Overview

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
