The Total Rewards Manager, Health & Wellness is an individual contributor role that provides consulting support to internal groups, partnering with Human Resources (HR) Business Partners, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), and business leaders to leverage total rewards programs in support of business priorities. The primary responsibilities include consulting and project management, partnering with the Benefits and Employee Experience Team for project and program support.We are looking for a Total Rewards Manager that is an expert in Health & Wellness solutions with a progressive mindset and that can also bring a creative, inclusive, and innovative approach to support our employees.A day in the life…Oversees administration and supports strategy of U.S. health and welfare programs including but not limited to Medical (both fully insured and self-funded), Dental, Vision and Ancillary group benefits. Supports and leads strategy of Healthy Mind & Body wellness initiatives.Ensures that an inclusive and innovative mindset is forefront in our Health & Wellness strategy, problem-solving, and solutions.Ensures programs remain market competitive, cost-effective, inclusive, legally compliant, and aligned with our global reward/benefit philosophy and business needs.Consults with HR and business leaders and internal client group(s) to understand short-term and long-term business priorities, and discuss ways in which total rewards programs can be leveraged to support these priorities.Consults with Talent Acquisition Partners to gather, share and address benefits-related experience.Maintains effective relationships with internal stakeholders, consultants, attorneys, and vendors regarding product and service quality and resolution of issues.Advises and influences HR and business leaders on benefit program effectiveness, competitiveness, design, education, and communication.Gathers input and leverages knowledge from Nordstrom ERGs.Leads and manages cross-functional benefit-related projects, partnering with Benefits COE to deliver solutions which are consistent with our Pay & Benefits and Talent philosophies.Partners with team to develop high-quality, fact-based recommendations and presentations to support client-related project work and benefits program design.Partners with Benefits Manager, Sr Benefits Director, and Total Rewards VP to develop executive level benefits and communications.You own this if you have…7+ years of employee benefits/HR experience.Knowledge of technical and legal aspects of employee benefit programs with a deep understanding of federal, local, state, and provincial benefit regulations.Ability to interpret complex regulations and effectively understand and communicate the implications on strategy, plan operations or administration.Strong depth and breadth of health plan knowledge, including plan design, strategy, operations, communication, engagement, governance, and compliance considerations.Experience closely partnering with ERGs and/or focus groups to support diverse communities, highly preferred.Experience with wellness as it relates to social determinacy and/or creating innovative and inclusive plans, highly preferred.Experience supporting a variety of programs that support mental wellness, gender affirming care, nutrition care, stress/emotional health, or language inclusion to engage employee population, highly preferred.Experience presenting to and influencing senior leaders using data analytics that supports business objectives.Experience working using Workday and Alight is a plus.Strong collaborator with the ability to influence leaders and stakeholders at all organizational levels.Strong proactive problem-solving and analytical abilities.Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing business needs.Experience building trusting relationships with HR and business leaders.Ability to consider issues from multiple perspectives, develop options, and present well-informed recommendations.Organized approach to tracking, documenting, and delivering on multiple concurrent priorities.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally and respectfully.Ability to train, mentor, and guide junior level positions.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.We’ve got you covered…Our employees are our most important asset and that’s reflected in our benefits. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.Washington: $103,500 - $175,000 Annually. This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses.
