Job Summary:The Transportation Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting the planning, design, and implementation of transportation infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in transportation engineering, a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Responsibilities:Project Design and Development:
Assist in the development of transportation project plans, including roadway, highway, and bridge designs.Conduct site investigations and technical assessments to inform project planning and design.Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
Technical Analysis and Reporting:
Perform technical analyses and calculations to support project designs.Prepare detailed engineering reports, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
Project Coordination and Support:
Collaborate with project managers, senior engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.Assist in the coordination of project activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.Participate in project meetings and provide technical input and support.
Quality Control and Assurance:
Review and verify design work to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications.Conduct quality control inspections and ensure all work meets required standards.Assist in the development and implementation of project quality assurance plans.
Client and Stakeholder Interaction:
Communicate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.Provide technical support and respond to inquiries from clients and stakeholders.Prepare and present project updates and technical information to clients and stakeholders.
Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 a year
