PLC Applications Engineer

DescriptionThis position will have a strong focus on writing PLC programs, OIT programs, and software control descriptions for controlling water and/or wastewater processes. We're looking for an experienced programmer who is ready to move towards a leadership role. Both in the office and the field, will be responsible for working from specifications, providing input (as needed) regarding the project design, and programming using various software and hardware platforms. Also responsible for bench testing and panel testing to verify that all aspects of PLC & OIT functionality meet required project specifications.Essential Functions:Write PLC operating program based upon control specification and/or Tesco standards to assure safe, reliable and optimal equipment operationWrite (publish) concise operating instructions detailing; control parameters and their effects under normal and failure conditionsPerform customer training and assist sales force with product presentationsWork with various departments internally, along with consulting engineers, customers, and end-users to assure proper system layouts and designsRecommend changes to improve the efficiency of planning, documentation and execution of development activityAssist with technical leadership of projects and support larger scale projectsAssist in training other employees on any aspect above+Tesco Controls is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
