TESCO's unique ability to manufacture custom solutions and design and commission equipment, power and control systems provides clients with well-designed systems that work as intended.The PLC Applications Engineer writes PLC programs, OIT programs, and software control descriptions for controlling various water and/or wastewater processes. This is the ideal role for an Automation Engineer with a passion for the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of programmable logic for such applications. Senior Programmers, for us, have the ability and willingness to train and aid other programmers, along with assisting in the development of departmental best practices and standards.Essential Functions:Write PLC operating programs based upon control specifications and/or Tesco standards to assure safe, reliable, and optimal equipment operation.Write (publish) concise operating instructions detailing control parameters and their effects under normal and failure conditions.Provide technical assistance (phone or job-site) to verify and/or modify PLC programs.Perform customer training and assist the sales force with product presentations.Work with various departments internally, along with consulting engineers, customers, and end-users to assure proper system layouts and designs.Assist in training other employees on any aspect above.Demonstrated Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent attention to detail.High level of organizational and time management skills.High level of project management skills.Education and Knowledge:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Technology or related field and industry experience.Applied knowledge in programming major manufacturers (Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Tesco, etc.) PLCs & OITs.Excellent understanding of computer operations, Microsoft Office.Excellent knowledge of instruments and electro-mechanical devices used for process control.Experience:Preferred 2-5+ years of related experience.Fluency with programming at least 3 manufacturers' PLCs.Pay offered will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and geographic location.
