As an Epidemiologist you will:Serve as a recognized expert in epidemiology for the agency with responsibility for developing policy and objectives, appraising programs, and initiating requirements for epidemiological studies.Provide technical advice and assistance in the development of criteria and standards for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of contract, grant, and/or cooperative agreement proposals.Write statements of work, serve on technical review panels for contract proposals, and monitor contracts for quality assurance and quality control.Design, plan and initiate epidemiologic studies, surveys, and investigations.Serve as a national or internationally recognized consultant and expert on epidemiological issues on critical problems in the field of epidemiology.Serve as a project coordinator and recommends resources for epidemiologic projects.Conditions of Employment

All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement.Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position.Minimum Qualifications

To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level, which must include the following experience: designing, overseeing, implementing and conducting epidemiological studies, surveys and investigations related to public health.How to Apply
