Summary:Administers the Radiology academic program. The administrative responsibilities include the organization, periodic review, continued development, and evaluation of the general effectiveness of the two (2) year academic program. Serves as an instructor in didactic classes, clinical instruction, and student advising, as appropriate. Assesses and maintains academic program status with JRCERT accreditation requirements. Evaluates performance of the Coordinator and clinical preceptors within the program.
Minimum Qualifications:
Formal Education Required:
Master’s Degree in relevant field
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in the Radiography discipline
Ohio Department of Health (ODH) radiologic license and actively registered in the Radiography discipline
Experience and Training Required:
Three (3) years full-time experience in the Radiography discipline
Two (2) years of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
Proficient in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, program administration, and academic advising.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively.
Ability to utilize technology.
Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with patients/customers with the understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
Level of Physical Demands:
Medium: Exerts 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or ten to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force continuously to move objects.
