Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist for our client in Chatsworth to manage job billings, oversee collections, and process receivables and incoming payments in accordance with the financial policies and procedures. This role involves regular communication with customers via phone and email and requires a solid understanding of basic accounting principles. A background in the construction industry is preferred, and proficiency with Sage 300 software is essential.

Responsibilities:

Facilitate the payment of invoices by contacting clients and managing collections.Handle construction-related billings on a monthly basis as directed.Follow established procedures for processing and posting payments accurately.Communicate with customers, supervisors, and internal staff to resolve any issues related to accounts.Track customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.Collaborate with vendors to manage California lien and release forms.Maintain organized accounts receivable files and records.Perform various office tasks and miscellaneous projects as needed.

Skills and Experience Required:

Minimum of five years in an accounting environment.Positive, proactive attitude with strong organizational skills; able to prioritize, multitask, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Sharp eye for detail and accuracy in financial tasks.Strong understanding of billing and financial concepts.Software Proficiency: Familiarity with basic accounting principles, accounting software, MS Office (Excel and Outlook), and Sage 300 is required. Knowledge of Procore and Texura is a plus.

Pay Details:

$70,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
