Nursing Veterinary TechnicianNever a dull moment in the Nursing department! Our patients need constant supervision to ensure treatment plans are being executed. This department is perfect for someone who can identify patient distress and react accordingly, enjoys phlebotomy, placing IV catheters, assisting with recovery and client follow up and education.What you’ll do:

Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases and gather additional information as necessaryEvaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessmentPartner with patient care team regarding treatment plans, client communication and nursing care concernsProvide client education including, but not limited to: home care instructions, medications (indications, adverse reactions) and general wellness updates on hospitalized patientsAssist DVM with patient assessment, treatment and proceduresProvide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patientsInduce and monitor general anesthesia and sedation proceduresPerform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testingWho you are:

State Registered Veterinary Technician license preferredPrior veterinary experience required, previous nursing or critical care experience desiredProficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessaryAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPerks and Benefits include:
