Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.2 years of experience in program management.Experience with network infrastructure operations or builds (e.g., optical transport/networking, dark fibre, and deployment planning).Preferred Qualifications:

2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.Experience in management of projects that require the deployment of terrestrial or subsea long haul fiber optic network infrastructure engineering design and construction projects.Ability to manage project priorities and technical resources and have relationships with multiple partner-teams, directors, or vendors.Excellent communication skills combined with a data driven investigative approach towards solving complex challenges.About the Job:

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of ultra long-haul fiber optic infrastructure systems to support the core IP traffic demands which globally interconnect data center, backbone, and peering facilities to serve Google users. You will manage multiple projects with high degree of complexity and scope. You will work closely with Technical and Program/Product/Project Leadership to determine project priorities and resolve scheduling issues.Responsibilities:

Manage the delivery of network projects composed of long-haul dark fiber, leased wavelengths, circuit adds/moves/changes/disconnects, colocation space, power, cross-connects, inside plant fiber, amplifier sites from inception through delivery.Drive cross-functional teams and manage multiple simultaneous network projects with engaging priorities, ensuring stakeholders are aware of project status.Engage with external vendors for extended workforce network build services and facilitate review and acceptance of vendor handover documentation.Lead kickoff and regular project status meetings and keep downstream teams at Google apprised of project and delivery status.Engage with engineering staff to determine root causes and solutions, and present the team's analysis, recommendations and approaches to stakeholders and executive management.Google is proud to be an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
