Avantor's Help Desk/Site Support vertical is a crucial part of this mix, enabling all our internal teams worldwide to grow beyond their limits.As the Lead Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the IT site services for several manufacturing facilities across the Americas region. You will lead a team of about 5 site services technicians. Supervise the day-to-day operations of Help Desk/Site Support. Identify, research, and resolve complex technical problems. Create and manage escalation procedures and ensure service levels are maintained. Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure resolution in a timely manner. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggest improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. May assist higher level supervisor.You will report to the Supervisor - EUS Field Services and report to our Carpinteria, CA location.What we're looking for:Education:

A bachelor's degree in IT, engineering, or a related fieldExperience:

At least 3 years of experience managing a team of IT technicians in manufacturing setup.Knowledge of ITIL best practices and IT service management toolsExperience with PC, mobile, VDI, network, hosting, and printer technologies and vendors.Familiarity with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the ability to comply with its requirements for the handling and export of controlled technical data and equipment.Who you are:Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skillsStrong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skillsAbility to travel up to 10% of the time within the Americas region.Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance at the appropriate levelHow you will create an impact:You will lead a team of about 5 site services technicians who provide the following support:Deskside & Walk-Up Support for PC, Mobile & VDIMail-Back Support for PC & MobileConference Room SupportDesktop, Laptop, Mobile Device & Thin Client Management (receive, stock, issue, redeploy, tracking & disposal services)Infrastructure Site Services (local support of data & voice network and hosting services devices led by L3)Site Relationship Management (IT liaison with local site management)ELT Support (customized support at select sites)Front-Office Printer ManagementYou will act as a point of contact between the IT department and the local site management, ensuring that the IT services and solutions are aligned with the site's needs and expectations.You will also communicate and coordinate with other IT teams and vendors to resolve any issues or requests that affect the site.ELT (Executive Leadership Team) Support:

You will provide customized and dedicated IT support to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) members at select sites, ensuring that their IT devices, systems, and applications are functioning optimally and securely.Team Management:

You will manage and lead a team of about 5 IT professionals (supporting the business at Irving, Bakersfield, and Carpinteria locations), who are responsible for providing end user support and IT services and solutions to the site. You will oversee their daily activities, assign tasks, monitor performance, provide feedback, and conduct appraisals. You will also mentor and coach them to develop their skills and competencies and foster a collaborative and positive work environment. You will also recruit, onboard, and train new team members as needed.Change Management:

You will oversee the IT change management for the sites, ensuring that all changes are planned, approved, tested, and documented before implementation. You will also ensure that the process is followed by your team and other IT stakeholders and monitor the impact of the changes on the users, systems, and security.Network Projects:

You will participate in network refresh and site commissioning / deomm / moves in the region, ensuring that the network infrastructure is updated, secure, and compliant with the company standards and policies.IT Onboarding and Asset Management:

You will be responsible for providing IT onboarding support to new users, such as setting up their devices, and training. Apply today!Pay Transparency:The expected pre-tax pay for this position is $64,000.00 - $106,000.00.
