The Senior Revenue Accountant will be responsible for tasks related to month-end reporting including P/L and B/S analytics, month end close procedures and journals, along with budget vs actual variance analysis.The Senior Revenue Accountant will assist in the validation, accounting, and review of sales-related transactions, and assist in the supervision of these tasks. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy of revenue data as part of the monthly revenue close process as well as effectively reporting on it. The Senior Revenue Accountant will also support business initiatives including assessment of new products, acquisitions, and any new systems that are implemented.Key Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):Part of a team that ensures that all revenue and related balance sheet accounts are recorded in accordance with Genesys policies and accounting guidelines, i.e. ASC 606.Review of completeness and accuracy of reporting packages pulled from Revenue systems (RevPro and NetSuite).Prepare analysis and journal entries as necessary to support the month end close process.Prepare revenue, deferred revenue, contract asset, and unbilled revenue account reconciliations to GL and forecast with a focus on fluctuation analyses.Operating and overseeing revenue related internal controls including maintaining support for both internal and external auditors.Significant Excel analysis and manipulation of large data sets to derive key business insights.Other related tasks:

Working closely with Order Management, Collections, Operations, FPA and Sales Personnel to meet business objectives.Processing appropriate contract updates, revenue adjustments and other journals in the Revenue System.Support the revenue projects function in the design, test, and implementation of updates to existing and new systems.Support FPA reporting initiatives including budget vs actual variance analysis.Participation in ad hoc projects to support business initiatives including assessment of new products, acquisitions, and new internal revenue reporting needs.Requirements:

Minimum 4 years of related Revenue Recognition experience.Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance and/or business administration.Highly organized, with great attention to detail.Passion and demonstrated record to communicate both orally and written, including the dissemination of technical information.Ability to interact effectively with sales and product teams, functional peer groups and subordinates to gain cooperation from others, especially those in other departments or external auditors.Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of multiple concurrent and diversified tasks, while working with deadlines.Ability to resolve problems analytically, with a common sense and practical solutions orientation.Desirable Skills:

CPA or equivalent a plus.Public accounting experience.Experience using Salesforce.com, RevPro and NetSuite.Prior experience with SaaS company.Working knowledge of ASC 606 Revenue Accounting Standard specifically as it relates to subscription revenue models.Inquisitive mind and interest in finding root causes in data analytics.Super-user (Advanced) in Excel.Experience using Alteryx or Tableau Prep reporting tools.Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.$65,350.00 - $128,150.00Benefits:
