The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Utah invites applications for 1-2 tenure-track faculty positions in cardiovascular engineering starting in the fall of 2024. Candidates at the assistant or associate professor rank are sought with research experience in a range of topics relevant to cardiovascular disease with emphasis on simulation, data science, or experimental approaches at the tissue and whole-organ scales in the areas of cardiac electrophysiology and heart failure.Candidates must have a demonstrated track record of high-impact research as evidenced by scholarly publications, and must exhibit strong potential (assistant rank) or an established record (associate rank) of extramural funding and teaching effectiveness. Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D., Sc.D., or M.D. with research experience in cardiac sciences or a closely aligned area. There should be evidence of accomplishments and experiences that have prepared the applicant to engage in research, mentoring, and teaching practices that foster the inclusion and support of culturally diverse constituents. Candidates are expected to establish an independent extramurally supported research program, conduct collaborative research, be engaged in service activities, and teach biomedical engineering courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.Application Review:
