Job Overview:This position is responsible for performing a full range of laboratory tests, confirming the accuracy of test results, and reporting laboratory findings to the doctors, pathologists, or other physicians. This position may work in any of the major areas of the laboratory: Transfusion Service, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry and Fibrinolysis. Operates and maintains a variety of laboratory instruments. Utilizes laboratory computer system in performance of duties. This position maintains strict adherence to established policies and procedures and works under the supervision of a general supervisor or medical technologist. Direct supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance, or result reporting.Job Requirements:

Associate's Degree or equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degreeMedical Laboratory Technologist (MLT)American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) certification requiredMust be a graduate of an approved MLT program and be certified by ASCP or equivalent or registry eligibleCertification must be obtained within one year of hireMLT Clinical TrainingUp to 1 year experience clinical experience as required by MLT program at a hospitalJob Responsibilities:
