Sanitation Manager

Our client, a leader in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a highly skilled Sanitation Manager to oversee and ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of their production facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing sanitation processes within a food manufacturing environment and be proficient in both Spanish and English.

Focus:

Lead and manage the sanitation team to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness across all production areas.

Develop and implement comprehensive sanitation procedures that meet regulatory and company standards.

Monitor the effectiveness of sanitation processes and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal cleanliness and safety.

Oversee the handling and usage of cleaning chemicals, ensuring proper storage, application, and disposal in compliance with safety guidelines.

Coordinate and supervise CIP (Clean-In-Place) operations, ensuring all equipment and lines are sanitized effectively.

Train and mentor staff on sanitation protocols, chemical handling, and safety procedures.

Conduct regular inspections and audits of the facility to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with sanitation standards.

Collaborate with other departments, such as Quality Assurance and Production, to align sanitation efforts with overall operational goals.

Maintain detailed records of sanitation activities, inspections, and chemical usage.

Manage inventory of sanitation supplies and chemicals, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.

Skill Set:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial role within sanitation, preferably in a food manufacturing setting.

High School Diploma, Technical School, or relevant education in Food Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field.

Demonstrated expertise in handling and managing cleaning chemicals, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce.

In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with CIP systems and procedures.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
