Job Title: Information Technology Security Manager

Additionally, Everett Community College Administrative/Exempt employees accrue 16 hours of vacation for every month of service, during which the employee is in pay status for 10 or more days; 8 hours of sick leave for every month of service, during which the employee is in pay status for 10 or more days; 11 paid holidays throughout the year, plus 3 paid personal holidays.Notice to ApplicantsPrior to hire, a background check including criminal record history will be conducted. Detailed information regarding campus security, crime statistics for the most recent three year period, and other information is available on the Campus Safety, Security and Emergency Management page.Reasonable Accommodations and Non-DiscriminationReasonable accommodation is provided in all aspects of employment, including the application process, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act and state law.Everett Community College does not discriminate based on, but not limited to, race, color, national origin, citizenship, ethnicity, language, culture, age, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, pregnancy or parental status, marital status, actual or perceived disability, use of service animal, economic status, military or veteran status, spirituality or religion, or genetic information in its programs, activities, or employment.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :Policy Development and ImplementationDevelop, implement, and maintain college-wide IT security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.Ensure compliance with Washington State OCIO’s IT security standards.Establish policies and procedures for IT Security and Data Protection.Recommend actions to protect EvCC information and IT infrastructure from external and internal threats.Develop and deliver college-wide information security awareness and training programs.Risk Management and ComplianceIdentify and evaluate risks, potential threats, vulnerabilities, and impacts on EvCC operations, systems, and personnel.Conduct periodic IT Security Self-Assessments and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.Ensure a comprehensive, independent IT security audit is performed every three years.Monitor and track key security initiatives and establish standards for virus protection, security monitoring, intrusion detection, and access control.Act as the central point of contact for all information security incidents and threats, developing incident handling procedures and reporting incidents as appropriate.Project SupportProvide support in project management for IT projects as needed.Ensure IT and information security is addressed in the development and acquisition of information systems and related products.Assist with the analysis of data related to personnel investigations, litigation records holds, and other related matters.Support and advance the EvCC strategic plan by aligning IT security initiatives with institutional goals.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.Five or more years of IT management experience, with at least three years focused on IT security.Current security/cybersecurity certification such as Security+, CISSP, GSEC, CISA, CISM, or CIPM (or willingness to obtain at least one within one year of hire).Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong understanding of IT security processes, technologies, standards, and best practices.Knowledge of network and server hardware, software, and security tools.Working knowledge of current information security laws and accepted industry practices.Excellent communication skills.Strong project management skills.Ability to develop and deliver effective IT security training programs.Work Hours:Full time 40 hours per week, with occasional evenings and weekends. Monday-Friday. Summer schedule is Monday-Thursday.Posting Date:
