The Research Analyst will also be supporting the lead with Academic Planning Database (APDB) system Reporting and other institutional priorities.FLSA : Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime compensation)Anticipated Hiring Range : $4,180 per month - $6,600 per monthCSU Classification Salary Range : $4,180 per month - $7,564 per monthRecruitment Type : Regular (Probationary)Time Base : Full-TimeDepartment InformationThe mission of the Office of Institutional Research, Effectiveness, and Planning (OIREP) is to enhance University effectiveness with information and research to support planning and budgeting, assessment, accreditation, policy formation, and decision-making.Required QualificationsEDUCATIONBachelor's degree in information management, sociology, psychology, economics, mathematics, statistics, public or business administration, or other related field. Additional experience which has demonstrated that the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the knowledge and abilities delineated above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.EXPERIENCETwo years of progressively responsible experience in technical research or statistical work in the collection, compilation, and analysis of data.Experience using computer-based reporting tools and analytics software (e.g. SPSS Statistics, R, SQL, Cognos) and working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIESExcellent research and analytical skills, working knowledge of survey design and administration, excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to work independently with a high level of self-motivation, strong organization and detail-oriented skills, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive work environment.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree from an accredited university or college and a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in data analysis, predictive and inferential statistics, data cleaning, survey design, and dissemination of findings.Documents Needed to ApplyResume and cover letter.
