Accounting Specialist

We are looking for a highly organized, self-motivated and friendly Accounting Specialist to make a positive impact on our daily operations. This position will perform a variety of accounting and payroll tasks to assist the Accounting Department in day-to-day financial activities. Primary duties will include being responsible for Accounts Payable functions for the company. Work schedule is Monday through Friday.RESPONSIBILITIES:Process a high volume of invoices: ensure all general ledger coding, general ledger periods, and due dates are met; completed accurately and timely using multiple software programs.Code and enter invoices: partners with appropriate management to ensure all vendor invoices are properly approved according to Company policy.Understand, or ability to learn, sales and use tax as it pertains to the construction industry.Perform multiple weekly check runs and process ACH payments.Set up new customers in the accounting software.Assist with weekly billing reports and collections.Assist Accounting Management in payroll functions as needed, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive calls and files, establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with staff.QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Bachelor’s or Associate degree, preferably in Accounting or a minimum 2-4 years of related experience.Strong computer proficiency to include MS Office programs and other Accounting software.Detail-oriented.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.If you thrive in a fast-paced environment with lots of variety, apply today!
