The role of the Director of Operations is to be responsible for the operations, performance, and maintenance of the facility. The Director of Operations will oversee the Behavioral Health Technicians, Facility Manager, Clinical Team, Housekeeping, and maintenance of the facility and associated housing. The director will collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and goals.

Job Duties:

Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the mission, vision, and goals of the organization.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.

Oversee day-to-day operation of the facility, including Partial Hospitalization, Outpatient, and other treatment programs that may be developed.

Develop and implement operational policies and procedures specific to the facility while upholding compliance with governing and licensing bodies.

Implement and oversee quality control measures to maintain high standards of care.

Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to mental health and substance abuse treatment.

Manage the licensing requirements and accreditation process and document processes for ease of compliance and completion upon audits.

Efficiently allocate resources, including budget, staffing, and facilities, to support effective treatment programs.

Optimize resource utilization to meet the needs of the patients.

Collaborate with community partners, local agencies, and advocacy groups to enhance support systems for individuals in treatment.

Represent the facility in community forums and events.

Recruit, train, and develop a skilled and compassionate team.

Provide ongoing education opportunities to the team on the latest developments in substance abuse treatment.

Provide leadership to clinical teams, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based and client-centered treatment services.

Foster a supportive and collaborative environment for clinical staff.

Utilize data analytics to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Generate reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Improve upon and implement new policies and procedures in a collaborative manner with the compliance team.

Lead the staff and patients in crisis management protocols in emergency events.

Create and implement training, procedures, and policies with the compliance team for all departments that this role oversees.

Able to liaise with the billing department as needed.

Any other tasks deemed necessary by corporate and other upper management team members.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Understanding of facility operations with 3+ years of experience in a management or supervisory role.

Significant experience in the healthcare industry or mental health and substance abuse field preferred.

Understanding of HIPAA, Federal, State, Joint Commission standards and regulations.

Must be able to demonstrate organizational and leadership skills with the ability to supervise and manage personnel.

Strategic thinker to be able to recommend alternative solutions, execute solutions, and monitor trends accordingly.

Self-starter, able to work autonomously and generate ideas and benefits for the program.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.

Must have the ability to interact with staff and clients in a professional manner.

Must have the ability to handle stressful and demanding situations.
