Job Title: Mid-Level Front-End Engineer

Job Description:

Goldman Sachs is seeking a talented and motivated mid-level Front-End Engineer to join the Controls Engineering team within our Global Banking & Markets Division in Dallas, TX.

Controls engineering is responsible for building the next generation firm-wide control plane for our front office desks. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust, high-quality web applications for our clients.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain user-friendly web applications that meet business needs

Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and product managers to create high-quality products

Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that follows industry best practices

Ensure that applications are accessible, responsive, and performant across a variety of devices and platforms

Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers

Continuously improve processes and tools to enhance productivity and code quality

Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to improve our products and processes

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

At least 3 years of experience in front-end web development

Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Angular

Experience with web performance optimization techniques

Familiarity with version control systems such as Git

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Experience with server-side programming languages such as Java or Python

Experience with automated testing and continuous integration tools

Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines

Experience with Agile development methodologies
