Your JobKoch Specialty Plant Services (KSPS) is currently hiring a Project Engineer who will be responsible for offering mechanical engineering assistance for projects that involve pressure vessels, piping, and combustion equipment. The primary tasks of this role consist of defining and refining project scopes, performing vessel calculations, reviewing drawings, coordinating material procurement, specifying welding procedures, and creating inspection plans. The Project Engineer will also be expected to collaborate with construction supervision, project management, clients, and other project teams. This position necessitates an individual who is driven, well-organized, and meticulous, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.Our TeamKSPS is a division of Koch Industries, offering a diverse range of plant services to industries such as refining, petrochemical, chemical, and power generation. Backed by the resources of Koch Industries, KSPS delivers exceptional service, expertise, and reliability to meet the unique needs of its clients.What You Will DoProvide support on projects involving maintenance, repair, installation, and revamp of distillation towers, reactors, vessels, drums, heat exchangers, combustion equipment, and piping.Perform pressure vessel design in compliance with ASME Section VIII, customer specifications, and relevant API and industry standards.Ensure that engineering designs/packages meet project, customer, and Code requirements.Collaborate proactively with departments including Quality Control, Field Superintendents, Project Management, Sales, Estimating, and EH&S.Provide all necessary information such as calculations, drawings, inspection test plans, weld procedures, welder certifications, and material traceability documents.Review nondestructive examination (NDE) and post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) procedures for code compliance.Develop unique engineered solutions to facilitate successful completion of field projects.Offer construction engineering support for rigging, lifting, and other construction-related activities.Develop material cost estimates.Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes.Experience with pressure vessel design and fabrication.Knowledge of nondestructive examination methods.What Will Put You AheadFE Exam (EIT) or PE License.Experience with vessel engineering software (Compress).Experience working with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).Familiarity with process/power piping and combustion equipment.Lifting/Rigging engineering experience.Knowledge of nondestructive examination methods and welding processes.Experience with application of technical specifications from oil and chemical companies.
