We are excited to consider a remote candidate for this role. The Multi Cloud Adoption Team (MCAT) at New Relic builds the platforms, products, and foundational services for secure, automated, reliable, and dynamic ingestion and processing of telemetry data. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help expand New Relic observability platform to GCP, Azure, and AWS, at the scale of ingesting over 2 billion events per minute. You will work on a team that will pave the way for the right tooling and standards across multi-cloud environments and empower our engineering teams to deliver exciting digital experiences for our customers with agility and confidence.You are an engineer with a passion for working hands-on with cloud technologies, in a large scale environment. You enjoy collaborating, communicating, and technical writing with other engineers.What You'll Do
Work with a team of engineers to design, implement and manage secure, scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure.Establish standards and reference architectures for services running on GCP, Azure, and AWS.Deliver high quality production code with robust error handling.Research and create proofs of concept to evaluate new technologies.Collaborate with PMs, technical leaders, and stakeholders to clarify project requirements.Contribute to large cross-team projects.This Role Requires
3+ years hands-on experience in implementing and/or maintaining complex cloud environments in GCP, Azure, and AWS.5+ years of software experience in cloud environments.Experience with software engineering practices including design, clean code, and CI/CD.Hands-on expertise in various technologies from front-end to back-end systems.Experience with SOLID design practices and object-oriented design.Strong understanding of cloud computing and experience migrating workloads in AWS, Azure, and GCP.Experience with Kubernetes or AKS or EKS or GKE.Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform) and high-level languages (Go, Python).Ability to work on cross-team projects and identify risks.Strong self-starter attitude with good collaboration and communication skills.Bonus Points If You Have
