Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables high-level defense planning and management. The successful Principal Systems Engineer will develop use cases and prepare systems engineering artifacts to implement customer-requested capabilities.

Essential Functions:

Support the development and review of interface documents, system requirements, and architectural documentation.

Provide use case development support to junior systems engineering team members.

Work will be performed under the direction of the ART and various product owners.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience working in an integrated team environment.

Demonstrated contributions to implementation that include analyzing high-level needs.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree and 3 years experience, or a PhD and 0 years of experience.

Must possess an understanding of systems engineering processes and principles.

Experience developing system engineering artifacts.

Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.

Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD issued secret security clearance at the time of application.

Preferred Qualifications:

Active Top Secret clearance is highly desired.

Experience working within an Agile development environment.

Salary Range:

$97,500 - $146,300The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers.
