Key Responsibilities:Evaluate life insurance applications, medical records, and other relevant documentation to assess risk and determine eligibility.Analyze data to make sound underwriting decisions within established guidelines and authority limits.Collaborate with agents and brokers to obtain additional information when needed and provide clear communication regarding underwriting decisions.Contribute to the development of underwriting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Skills Required:Proficient in using underwriting software and technology platforms.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain underwriting decisions clearly and professionally.Strong knowledge of life insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and industry regulations.FLMI, FALU and CLU designation(s) preferred.
