Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant
Seeking a motivated individual with a passion for numbers and a desire to contribute to the success of our established and growing organization in Sparta, NJ.
Must be able to work independently, yet within a team framework and a collaborative work culture.
Offering an on-site position with flexibility, a 32 hour work week Monday through Thursday, $25 per hour, Health/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Time Off.
Requirements:
· Verifiable experience in Corporate Bookkeeping/Accounting or similar roles
· Strong knowledge of double entry Bookkeeping principles and practices
· Financial Acumen and understanding of financial statements
· Ability to Analyze financial data and identify trends and/or discrepancies
· Knowledge of Payroll Management processes
· Familiarity with tax regulations and reporting requirements
· Proficiency in using QuickBooks Enterprise 23 Accounting Software
· Proficiency in using MicroSoft Office Applications such as Excel and Word
· Strong organizational skills, both digital and physical
· Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
· Bi-Lingual English/Spanish, a plus
Duties:
· Perform double entry Bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions, performing A/P and A/R duties, preparing Journal Entries and maintaining General Ledgers
· Conduct Balance Sheet Reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting
· Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or errors
· Obtain Credit References and perform Credit Checks to establish Terms for Customers
· Verify sales and process Commission Payments
· Process and manage bi-monthly Payroll
· Manage employee PTO along with employee Health, Dental and Life Insurance benefits
· Perform Tax Related activities
· Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
· Provide other general Administrative support to the Accounting team as needed
· Manage and coordinate IT needs
· Maintain up-to-date Certificates of Insurance for all on-site Vendors
