Job Summary/Basic Function
This position provides administrative support to the Office of the Dean of Students in planning, organizing, and implementing the functions, services, and workflow of the Office. The office staff includes the Associate Vice President of Student Access & Success/Dean of Students, Assistant Dean of Students, and an Investigator. The office oversees a variety of departments in the Student Access & Success Division. In addition, this position provides admin support for the Executive Director of Student Wellbeing (EDSW) and Student Wellbeing areas as needed, including budgeting support, p-card reconciliation, travel planning, and meeting support.
The Administrative Assistant is required to have excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and be able to communicate with a wide variety of individuals from the campus and community. It is essential that this position exercise discretion, good judgement and maintain confidentiality and privacy. This individual will have knowledge, skills, and experience in administrative, financial, and technological processes related to the functioning of the DOS and EDSW Offices. This position will have significant involvement in the student conduct process and will have primary responsibility for maintaining the student conduct management system.
This position will provide admin support for the Strategic Threat Assessment and Response Team (STAR) and Coordinated Assistance and Resource Education (CARE) team, including limited consultation with students and faculty as needed, documenting entries in Symplicity, and taking meeting notes. The position will also provide admin support for the Student Health and Wellness program, including research and reconciliation of Ogden Clinic billing statements, staff p-card reconciliation, and other tasks upon request

Required Qualifications
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of full-time related experience that includes administrative support
- Computer/technology experience including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and web-based programs.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a college or university environment.
- Experience working with challenging/difficult people.
- Experience with student conduct processes preferably with a student conduct management system.
- Experience working with sensitive and confidential information.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
