Delivers items by establishing routes, operating the truck, and maintaining schedule. The driver must secure company assets and ensure compliance with company policies as well as state and local driving rules and regulations. Under direct supervision of the Transportation Manager, and the ultimate supervision of the Warehouse Manager, the Driver is responsible for performing the following duties:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Store deliveries:

Perform Pre Trip Inspection to ensure that both tractor and trailer are in operable conditions.Assist Store Management in unloading product into warehouse using electric pallet jack.Sweep out dry box trailers after grocery deliveries.Bring copies of UNFI Invoices signed by Manager in charge at store to be returned to Distribution Center.While in stores, employees must conduct themselves in a professional manner towards customers and other Superior's employees.

Employees are responsible for recording lunches whether they are at the Distribution Center or on the road.The company vehicle is for company use only.Keep the vehicle keys at all times.Any type of accident must be reported to the manager immediately and per company's policy, it would be required to take a Drug & Alcohol test. Follow procedures to properly document any and all accidents.Log in/out of Electronic Log-In Device (ELD) to comply with DOT regulations.Pick Ups:Review assigned workload, go to designated vehicle and inspect trailer for correct load and matching invoices.Inspection of vehicle before starting the route.Drive to delivery or pick up location.Follow loading instructions per vendor's instructions.Pick-up billing information and continue the delivery of the product to destination.

Personal Identifiers.

We collect your name, driver's license or ID number, email address, phone number, and mailing address from you during our recruitment processes. We may collect personal identifiers about your emergency contacts, if you provide this information.Characteristics of Protected Classifications Under California or Federal Law.

We may collect your date of birth, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, racial or ethnic origin, disability information, genetic information, marital status, or pregnancy and related information, if you provide this information as part of your application.Professional or Employment-Related Information.

We collect information related to your employment history during the recruitment process. We will not request or collect your salary history information during the application process.Education Information.

We collect your education history from you as part of your application.Inferences.

We may collect inferences drawn from the foregoing information such as your characteristics, preferences, aptitudes, or behaviors.

3. How We Use the Information We Collect

We use the Personal Information we collect for the following business and commercial purposes:

Recruiting and Hiring.

We use the Personal Information we collect from your application and through the interview process to evaluate your qualifications and eligibility for employment.Government Reporting.

We use the Personal Information we collect to comply with mandatory government reporting requirements and applicable laws.

4. Additional Rights Under California Law

At this time, the CCPA does not afford you the right to make requests regarding your Personal Information. Superior Grocers will inform you about any policies and procedures related to such rights if they become available. This does not affect other rights you may have under the California Labor Code or similar laws.

5. How We Retain Your Personal Information

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Superior Grocers will retain your Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including for the purpose of meeting any legal, accounting, or other reporting requirements or obligations.

6. How You Are Protected Against Discrimination and Retaliation

Superior Grocers will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights under the CCPA. This commitment applies to all persons involved in Superior Grocers operations and prohibits unlawful discrimination by any employee of Superior Grocers. Anyone found to be engaging in unlawful discrimination will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
