Job SummaryHealth IT is responsible for all aspects of the Electronic Health Record (EPIC:  APeX- Advancing Patient-Centered Excellence) for UCSF hospitals, practices, affiliates, and community partners.  The APeX Training Team Lead oversees a group of Apex/Epic Trainers responsible for managing the day-to-day-activities of the team and works in collaboration with the APeX-Epic application teams and clinical/business operations to develop curriculum to provide training support to a variety of end users including providers, nurses, clinical research coordinators, billers and other users. This position will focus managing workloads; ensuring trainers are cross-trained and are able to support other applications. This position requires the ability to manage staff effectively and influence the actions of others. Candidates should be effective at leading groups, building consensus and managing complex decision making across divergent areas of the organization. The Team Lead, in collaboration with others, actively identifies and mitigates risks of the overall projects and arbitrates all unresolved issues, conflicts and barriers in their designated areas. The Team Lead is accountable for deliverables related to project timing, staffing, costs, quality and effectiveness in designated areas.  Provides excellent customer service to end users, tracks issues and follows-up as appropriate. Team Leads will work in multiple locations including UCSF Health locations, Benioff Children’s Hospitals-Oakland and San Francisco, UCSF campus, Marin Hospital, and community affiliate partners (located all over California). Inherent with these key responsibilities is the ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and meet any imposed deadlines.  As training will be role based, it is essential that the APeX Training Team Lead has experience with or the ability to fully grasp workflows, policies/procedures that are clinically, procedural and/or administrative in nature to create operationally focused curriculum/scenarios. The APeX Training Team Lead must have at least one certification in an Epic Application and Epic Training Environment Curriculum & MST (TED) Build and support one or more of the following APeX applications:Epic Clinical ApplicationsEpic Revenue Cycle ApplicationsAmbulatory, Orders, ClinDoc, Stork, Willow, Beacon, Kaleidoscope, Radiant, HOD, Home HealthPrelude, ADT/Cadence, HB/PB, HIM, Optime SchedulingOther Epic applications as neededCertified in an Epic application; preferred would be EpicCare Ambulatory, Orders, Willow, Cadence, Revenue Cycle or other applications.Other applications depending on business needs, (list below)Certified in Epic Training, Environments and Documentation (TED) and Curriculum (or must obtain certification within 6 months)The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF.
