GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
Conceptualizes and designs engaging graphics that support the Destin-Fort Walton Beach brand across a variety of media.EXAMPLES OF WORK• Develops innovative graphic designs and concepts for digital, web, print, social media, newsletters, promotional items, etc. in accordance with brand guidelines using various software programs such as, Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.• Manages brand assets and usage including logos, font, colors, imagery, vocabulary, promotional items, etc. to ensure all items remain true to brand's identity.• Strategizes with marketing team and agency on cohesive branding and messaging across all departments including marketing, destination stewardship, natural resources and meetings + events.• Stays current with design trends, social media trends and platforms to ensure the brand content is relevant to consumer base.• Use various programs to edit photos and videos for short and long form content for social media platforms, presentations, etc.• Coordinates with internal teams, including marketing, in the design concept phase through completion of a project; works methodically to meet deadline and budget.• Coordinates with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc. to complete projects.• Updates and maintains internal database with designs, photography, and videos.• Supports program operations outside of normal business hours, to include long days, occasional evenings, and some weekends.• Perform other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training and Experience:
Associate's Degree in graphic design, web development, digital arts, marketing or closely related field; supplemented by two (2) years of creativity and innovative design skills; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Requires proficiency in design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premier Pro and/or Dreamweaver. Working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript is preferred.
Licenses and/or Certifications:
Requires a valid driver license.OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Physical Requirements: : Requires the ability to effectively operate office equipment, to include computers, copy/fax machines, and any related peripherals. Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Must be able to reach, extending hand(s) in any direction. Must be able to handle, seize, hold, grasp, turn or otherwise work with hand(s). Physical demands are essentially those of sedentary work.

Requires ability to read a variety of technical data, policy and procedure manuals, codes, professional journals, etc. in moderately complex terminology. Requires the ability to prepare forms and reports using prescribed formats and adhering to all rules of grammar, spelling, diction and punctuation. Requires the ability to communicate with a broad array of individuals from various professional backgrounds. Must be able to communicate effectively in English and to articulate information to others.
Intelligence:
Requires the ability to apply principles of common sense understanding to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; to make independent judgments in absence of supervision; to acquire knowledge of topics related to primary occupation.

Must be able to add and subtract; may be require the ability to multiply and divide.

Requires the ability to deal with people beyond receiving instructions. Must be adaptable to performing under moderate levels of stress, imposed by frequent deadlines, peak workloads or public contact.
