Account Executive - Employee Benefits

Job Summary:The Account Executive works closely with a senior producer to manage their book of business, oversee client relationships, and facilitate the sales and administrative processes for Employee Benefits clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of the existing Employee Benefits book of business to ensure complete client satisfaction and fulfillment of all coverage and service commitments made by the producer and agency.
Assist the producer in achieving new business and retention goals. Proactively seek new lines of coverage for current and prospective clients and act on cross-sell opportunities.
Conduct reviews of existing plans and coverages for new clients to ensure proper alignment with client needs.
Oversee the renewal marketing process by coordinating with the producer to develop proposals and recommendations, negotiating renewals with carriers, and delivering recommendations to clients or accompanying the producer for presentations.
Manage the implementation process of new business and renewals, including renewal meetings, onboarding, and delivery of administrative resources.
Build and maintain relationships with key client contacts under the direction of the producer.
Assist with obtaining reports and meeting with clients regarding claims, risk management, and employee benefits compliance, conducting monthly or quarterly check-ins as needed.
Maintain relationships with carrier representatives, staying up to date on new products, procedural changes, and market trends. Attend relevant seminars, classes, and carrier meetings.
Collaborate with the Proactive Services Team to ensure clients receive appropriate services, including creating and delivering Proactive Services schedules for clients.
Keep clients informed on compliance requirements and industry changes through meetings, webinars, legislative updates, and other available resources.
Act as the liaison between the client, carrier, and internal staff on escalated service issues, ensuring concerns are resolved efficiently and effectively.
Job Requirements:
Ability to plan, organize, implement, monitor, and adapt within a team-oriented environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent customer service, organizational, and time management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Education & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in client service and/or sales, preferably in Employee Benefits.
2 or more years of experience in underwriting, sales, or account servicing in Employee Benefits.
Strong knowledge of Employee Benefits plans, carrier guidelines, compliance regulations, and legislative changes.
