The Opportunity

This position is responsible for broad HR strategies, as well as the day-to-day business of hospitality management. This position requires hotel HR management experience. Responsibilities

Partner with the property leadership team, acting as a trusted advisor to help the organization meet business goals and objectives.

Provide appropriate consultation and guidance as a cultural ambassador and servant leader.

Help the Leadership Team reach their full potential by providing learning opportunities, consultation services, and individual coaching for personal growth and development.

Support the local execution of corporate programs/communications that will impact our people (i.e. recognition, development, benefits, etc.).

Participate in the planning and promotion of associate engagement activities.

Assist with ensuring that internal communication is in alignment with Evo’s culture and guiding principles.

Proactively evaluate work processes and standards; identify methods for increasing efficiency or effectiveness.

Collaborate with and provide guidance to the leadership and management team on all human resource issues including workforce talent management, recruitment, associate relations, performance management, and legal requirements.

Manage recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and orientation processes to maintain staffing levels with qualified individuals.

Resolve associate relations issues by advising management regarding employment law and compliance.

Coach supervisors and managers in managing employee performance issues.

Direct and supervise the Human Resources team.

Prepare and maintain the Human Resources budget.

Maintain thorough knowledge of all Human Resources/Associate regulations and laws, ensuring compliance.

Participate in EEO, Unemployment, Wage & Hour, Worker's Compensation, OSHA, ADA, Immigration and Naturalization Service hearings; implement policies and programs to guarantee compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 3+ years of Director leadership experience with a minimum of 3 years hotel HR experience.

Exposure to standard HR competencies, including compensation, employee relations, benefits, staffing, and training.

Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with experience developing and conducting employee training.

Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities in a professional manner.

Strong communication and listening skills, with excellent speaking, reading, and writing abilities.

Demonstrated ability to gain the trust and confidence of managers and employees.

Ability to diagnose organizational issues and implement creative solutions.

Proficient skills using Microsoft Office products; must understand financial information and basic arithmetic functions.

Multiple language abilities preferred, fluency in English required and Spanish desired.
