In this role you will ensure strategic, financial, and operational alignment across GBSG including annual planning, providing a structured framework to align GBSG senior leaders on strategic themes, manage priorities across the portfolio of products, and ensure the execution of an operating plan aligned with strategic objectives that is necessary to operate an organization the size of GBSG and facilitates a more streamlined execution of organizational goals that are critical for sustained growth and competitiveness. During the year, you will provide strategic direction for in-year planning and execution management, enhancing the organization's agility in responding to dynamic market conditions, ensuring that priorities, decisions, and trade-offs are managed effectively through new portfolio reviews and maintaining an ongoing alignment. Additionally, this leader is driving strategic projects and leading the way in providing business intelligence, including competitive analysis, the role significantly contributes to informed decision-making at the highest levels.You will work alongside senior leaders to construct and deliver board and C-level content. You will also have an opportunity to work across the broader Product, Marketing, Finance, and Technology communities to help deliver GBSG’s strategic and financial goals. This position requires strong strategic problem solving and communication skills, the ability to influence and develop productive partnerships at all levels of the organization, and a strong understanding of Intuit’s mission and values.Responsibilities
Annual Planning: Lead strategic planning: (1) align GBSG senior leaders on strategic themes, (2) manage GBSG priorities across portfolio of products, (3) lead op mechs, deliverables, and operating rhythm for the planning process, and (4) deliver plan that is financially, strategically, and operationally aligned.In-Year Planning: Lead strategic planning for in-year planning: (1) manage GBSG priorities, decisions, and tradeoffs via new portfolio reviews, (2) lead op mechs, deliverables, and operating rhythm for the planning process, and (3) drive planning best practices across GBSG segments.In-year execution management: Improve GBSG’s execution of Goals by: (1) identifying areas of the business behind plan and bringing attention / resolution, (2) identifying key dependencies that may cause future problems and finding an owner who can drive resolution, and (3) leading op mechs that bring attention to important parts of the business and keep senior leaders aligned.Strategic projects and intelligence: Deliver actionable insights that drive leaders’ decisions on key strategic topics. Orchestrate development of executive-level presentations and content to be used by the GM in board meetings, CEO Staff meetings, and other forums. (1) Drive reporting on our priority at the most senior level including CEO staff. (2) Deliver competitive insights.Minimum Requirements
7-10 years of relevant experience in delivering significant strategic and operational impact across an organizationStrategy and operations experience at a high growth startup, management consulting experience or strategic/analytical roles at large companies is desiredProven track record in leveraging data, developing insight-backed hypotheses and driving learning plans to build compelling business casesOwnership mindset with an ability to convert strategic plans into actions, drive projects to completion, and sweat the details to deliver the outcomeExperienced change agent who is able to influence and build trust across a highly cross-functional organization (peers, executives and working teams) to accelerate outcomesExcellent communicator with strong presentation skills and compelling storytelling abilities; feel very comfortable leading and facilitating workshops and monthly/quarterly business reviews with executives and teamsHighly self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and able to manage multiple projects with little day to day directionWell-rounded interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships with senior stakeholders and collaborate across with team members across varying levelsAbility to generate innovative insights, ideas, and opportunities that help advance the business.FinTech and/or SaaS experience a plus, but not required
