We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Sr. Substation Engineer to join our energetic team. Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Sr. Substation Engineer, you will be responsible for:

1. Designing, planning, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of electric substations.
2. Ensuring all substation projects are compliant with the National Electric Safety Code.
3. Collaborating with team members to develop project objectives and timelines.
4. Conducting detailed calculations to develop manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
5. Inspecting completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
6. Providing technical guidance to team members and junior engineers.
7. Preparing and delivering technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers.
8. Leading and coordinating with teams to rectify any operational issues in the substations.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the role of Permanent Sr. Substation Engineer, you must possess:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in substation design, preferably in a senior role.
2. An ABET-accredited degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
3. Proficient knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code.
4. A PE license is desired.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
6. Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor junior engineers.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate complex engineering concepts to a variety of audiences.
8. High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
9. Proficient in using engineering software and computer-aided design (CAD) systems for designing projects.
