Job Details:

Our company is currently seeking a seasoned Permanent Substation Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to work on a variety of projects, ranging from small-scale assignments to large, complex projects. This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented individual with a strong background in engineering and project management. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the design, installation, and maintenance of our substation projects are carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety. This is a full-time, permanent position offering competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Substation Engineer, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

1. Design, develop and oversee the installation of electrical systems, substations, and related equipment.
2. Review and approve substation design documents and calculations, ensuring compliance with National Electric Safety Code and other relevant standards.
3. Lead and manage substation projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
4. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of substations, identifying and resolving any issues promptly and effectively.
5. Coordinate with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders on project requirements, design, and implementation.
6. Develop and implement safety measures and quality control processes.
7. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
8. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Substation Engineer position should possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university.
2. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is desired but not required.
3. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in substation design and project management.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code.
5. Proven track record in managing large scale engineering projects.
6. Strong technical skills with the ability to design and oversee the implementation of electrical systems.
7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Strong leadership and project management skills.
9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
11. Proficiency in using engineering software and tools.
12. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
