Salary: $140,000 - $165,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to take on the role of Director, FP&A. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team, where you will be responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis function. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in financial analysis within the property and casualty insurance domain.

This position can be remote, however the individual will need to be located in EST to be considered.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the financial planning and analysis function, driving strategic initiatives and ensuring the financial stability of the organization.
  2. Develop and implement financial models and forecasts, utilizing advanced Excel and Oracle EPM.
  3. Oversee the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  4. Provide strategic guidance based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.
  5. Leverage your property and casualty insurance experience to provide expert advice and guidance to the team.
  6. Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements, including but not limited to, STAT reporting.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial plans with business strategies, improving overall operational efficiency and profitability.
  8. Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field. An MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the technology industry.
  3. Proficiency in financial analysis, advanced Excel, and Oracle EPM is required.
  4. Experience in property and casualty insurance, insurance, and STAT reporting is a must.
  5. Strong analytical skills, with a proven ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable strategies.
  6. Excellent leadership skills, with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  7. Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate financial information in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholders.
  8. Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  9. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
