Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our thriving finance team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the strategic decision-making process of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the FP&A team, driving strategic initiatives, and improving financial processes. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, strategic planning, process improvement, and team leadership.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the FP&A team, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and process improvement.
  2. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
  3. Oversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan, and Modeling tools.
  4. Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.
  5. Develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends to assist the CEO, the Board, and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities.
  6. Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.
  7. Drive process improvement initiatives to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency.
  8. Develop and execute analysis of various business initiatives (e.g., opening new operations, asset acquisition, new service launches).
  9. Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; Manage preparation and support of all external audits.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is highly desirable.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
  3. Proven experience in strategic planning, financial analysis, process improvement, and team leadership.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization, and with staff at remote locations essential.
  5. Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  6. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  7. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  8. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
  9. Ability to inspire confidence and create trust.
  10. Ability to look beyond numbers to understand trends and provide insightful recommendations.
  11. Strong work ethic with a hands-on approach. Able to manage heavy workloads and projects, many on a time-sensitive basis while still maintaining accuracy and strong attention to detail.
