Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. This is a permanent position with a fast-paced, high-energy environment where you will be an integral part of our construction process. You will be working with a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about their work and committed to delivering the highest quality projects for our clients.

Responsibilities:

As a Construction Estimator, your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Preparing and coordinating full estimating packages for construction projects, including the calculation of material quantities and labor costs.
  2. Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects or services.
  3. Conducting risk analysis, identifying potential issues, and providing possible solutions.
  4. Participating in the proposal presentation to clients, offering insight on cost, feasibility, and duration of the project.
  5. Liaising with architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to formulate accurate and competitive estimates.
  6. Maintaining accurate records of all estimations, tracking changes in design, updated drawings, and adjustments to cost estimates.
  7. Providing regular reports and updates to management on the status of current and upcoming projects.
  8. Assisting in the negotiation of contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that all aspects of the project are covered in the contract terms.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably within the commercial construction industry.
  2. Proven experience with Estimator or equivalent software.
  3. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  4. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
  5. Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and accurately.
  7. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Project.
  8. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
  9. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  10. Professional certification, such as a Certified Professional Estimator (CPE), is a plus.
