We are on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced Consulting Accounting Clerk to join our team in the medical industry. This is a part time position, approximately 20-25/hrs. per week. As a Consulting Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded. This includes bank account activity, credit card transactions, sales and receipts. You will work closely with our financial team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices. If you are a skilled multi-tasker, reliable and committed to consistently meeting strict deadlines, we would love to have you on our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets.
  • Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data.
  • Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits.
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues.
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
  • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
  • Collaborate with the financial team on budgeting, auditing, and major financial projects.
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
  • Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial files.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the medical industry.
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
  • Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (QuickBooks).
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizing abilities.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen.
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.
  • Certification in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field is a plus.
