Salary: $130,000 - $180,000 per year

Job Details

The Quality Manager will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of quality assurance within our cabinet manufacturing facility. This position will develop and implement quality control procedures, monitor production processes, and ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen attention to detail, and a passion for delivering superior quality products.

REQUIRED

  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality management in a manufacturing environment with a focus on woodworking or cabinetry production.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles, tools, and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and ISO standards.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage and develop a team of quality professionals.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and quality auditing processes.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical techniques for quality improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve measurable results.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) designation is a plus.

PROFESSIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality control processes and procedures to ensure the consistent production of high quality cabinetry.
  • Establish and maintain quality standards, specifications, and inspection criteria for raw materials, components, and finished products.
  • Lead a team of quality inspectors and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure adherence to quality standards and objectives.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of manufacturing processes, equipment, and facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, nonconformities, and customer complaints in a timely and effective manner, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, including production, engineering, and procurement, to address quality-related challenges and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, analyzing data trends and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, conducting supplier audits and evaluations to ensure the quality and reliability of incoming materials and components.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in quality management, incorporating relevant updates and advancements into our quality assurance processes.
  • Promote a culture of quality and accountability throughout the organization, fostering teamwork, communication, and a commitment to excellence among all employees.
