Initial PT coverage needed for 3-6 months for a Leave of Absence - potential to convert to full-time

• Participant Evaluation: Screen and evaluate participants for rehabilitation needs according to APTA standards.
• Collaborative Care: Provide physical therapy treatments, including modality treatment, therapeutic exercise, and functional mobility training
• Documentation: Maintain thorough records of participant POCs and communicate with other services as needed.
• Direct Communication: Engage with staff, family members, and caregivers to ensure effective care and support.
• Physical Therapy Treatments: Provide a range of treatments including modality treatment, therapeutic exercise, and functional mobility training.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a physical therapy-related field; completion of an APTA-accredited physical therapy program.
• Licensure: Valid CA Physical Therapist license in good standing.
• Experience: Minimum one year of physical therapy experience in a geriatric setting required; two years preferred.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, ability to interpret various instructions, knowledge of occupational therapy and speech pathology, and proficiency in managing budgets and compiling reports.
• Bilingual: English & Spanish highly preferred
