Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Legal Biller (Hybrid) to join our finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-performing team in the fast-paced finance industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of legal billing, from maintaining pertinent information in the time and billing system to assisting clients with issues related to billing or related reports. This is a hybrid role, offering a balanced mix of remote and on-site work.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and oversee all aspects of legal billing, ensuring accurate and timely billing of clients.
2. Maintain pertinent information in the time and billing system, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data.
3. Assist clients with issues related to billing or related reports, providing prompt and professional customer service.
4. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective billing processes.
5. Utilize electronic billing systems such as TyMetrix, Serengeti, CounselLink, DataCert, Legal Exchange, Bottomline, etc., to manage and process billings.
6. Regularly review and update billing procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
7. Work closely with the legal team to understand and accurately bill for legal services provided.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in legal billing, preferably within the finance industry.
2. Proven experience with Aderant and other electronic billing systems such as TyMetrix, Serengeti, CounselLink, DataCert, Legal Exchange, Bottomline, etc.
3. Strong knowledge of billing procedures and best practices.
4. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle billing inquiries and issues professionally and effectively.
5. Proficiency in maintaining information in the time and billing system.
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
9. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
11. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
