Job Details

Standard Work Hours:

3rd Shift (Sunday-Thursday), 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Responsibilities:

  • Design minor electrical circuits and troubleshoot electrical, PLC, and electronic systems for machine and equipment control.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
  • Install electrical and electronic controls on machines and equipment by interpreting schematics and blueprints.
  • Possess knowledge of electrical power, steam, water, and gas distribution systems.
  • Perform basic mechanical repairs as needed.
  • Carry out tasks typically assigned to lower classifications when required.
  • May supervise the work of individuals in lower classifications.
  • Dismantle electrical machinery and replace faulty electrical or mechanical components, such as brushes and armatures.
  • Install and monitor the performance of electrical equipment, addressing hazards, making adjustments, or replacing parts as necessary.
  • Interpret blueprints and follow sketches or verbal instructions.
  • Layout, assemble, install, test, repair, and adjust electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, wiring, and new services, including panels, breakers, and conduit.
  • Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures, and complete circuits according to diagram specifications.
  • Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
  • Perform various tasks as directed by the Group Leader.

Qualifications:

What You Need to Succeed:

  • A two-year associate degree or a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in using a computer to search for parts and enter data into a CMMS.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, sit, perform manual tasks, and engage in stooping and bending.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including a baseline test for lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
