As a Consulting Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of our organization by creating financial strategies, implementing policies, managing financial risk, record-keeping, and financial reporting. Job Details

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
  2. Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with President, COO and CFO concerning strategic planning.
  3. Review and analyze financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed.
  4. Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
  5. Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, minimizing the impact of variances.
  6. Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports.
  7. Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.
  8. Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
  9. Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
  10. Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
  2. 5+ years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the finance industry.
  3. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
  4. Proficient in QuickBooks Online and other financial planning software.
  5. Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
  6. Demonstrated leadership skills with a broad knowledge of the finance industry.
  7. Excellent analytical, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.
  8. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present and explain complex information clearly.
  9. Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel.
