We are on the hunt for a dedicated and experienced Managing Immigration Attorney to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a high-volume caseload, which includes various types of permanent residency, asylum, and deportation defense applications. You will be working with a team of professionals dedicated to providing top-notch legal services to a diverse clientele. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about immigration law, has a strong work ethic, and is committed to the highest standards of professional conduct.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide legal advice to clients on matters related to immigration, including permanent residency, asylum, and deportation defense.
  2. Prepare and submit immigration applications and petitions with relevant government agencies.
  3. Represent clients in immigration court hearings and before immigration officials.
  4. Conduct thorough legal research to support client cases and stay updated on changes in immigration laws and regulations.
  5. Collaborate with legal staff to ensure the highest quality of service to clients.
  6. Manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining a high level of productivity and excellent client service.
  7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and updates on case progress.
  8. Participate in community outreach and education efforts related to immigration law.

Qualifications:

  1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  2. Admission to a state bar, with good standing.
  3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in immigration law, specifically with permanent residency, asylum, and deportation defense cases.
  4. Demonstrated experience in appearing before immigration courts and officials.
  5. Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
  6. Proficiency in managing a high-volume caseload with multiple deadlines.
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and immigration officials.
  8. Strong commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  10. Experience with professional liability is a plus.
  11. Bilingual skills are highly desirable.
